Independence Day to most Brits is a sci-fi action film where Will Smith single-handedly saves the world from an alien invasion. Across the pond however it is a much bigger deal. More commonly known as 4th of July (or Nike Kobe 9 EM “Independence Day”) it’s a patriot extravaganza with fireworks galore.
So does this British ignorance mean we shouldn’t join in with the festivities? Does it hell. How can you get involved I hear you asking? Simple, buy a pair of these outrageously cool Nikes.
These Nike Kobe special editions sport a fusion of colours representing the good old star spangled banner yet with rest of the shoe various shades of blue these shoes not only stand out but look smart at the same time. They have a Flywire lacing system and Kobe’s signature on the heel.
Now the cost of supporting your American counterpart don’t come cheap, Now they’ve hit the UK market you can buy a pair of these for £130. If you ask me, the Nike Kobe IX July 4th’s are worth every penny.
Happy Independence Day from all of us at Akute.
