Rodrigo Gaffa

Brazilian artist Rodrigo Gaffa has produced a set of interpretations on classic movie posters. Some of the films represented are modern, others a fair bit older and some are easier to guess than others. You can take a look at the full set here, and see how many you recognise, right here.

The work is heavily inspired by the influential artist Saul Bass. Bass was famous for his work in the movie industry where he worked closely with Alfred Hitchcock and many other movie greats creating surreal and often abstract movie posters.

Our favourites from this Gaffa set are definitely the Castaway and Pan’s Labyrinth efforts both of which focus on supporting characters rather than the main stars, plus who doesn’t love retro artwork featuring Wilson?
