As many of my friends will tell you, im an avid collector of Nike trainers (predominantly Nike SB), but one of the colorways that has always alluded me is the ‘Cali’ but now I could been given a second chance with the upcoming release of the Nike SB Dunk Cali High.
From afar it seems like an identical reproduction of the original which dropped 10 years ago (that does make my days collecting the same age …. dammmmm).
After missing out on the Tiffany hi release which did annoy me slightly (but I already own the lows so all is forgiven), ill be looking to pick these up asap.
As the story with the original release goes the Nike SB Dunk Cali High was inspired by the California state flag, hence the nickname Cali.
They shoes have a brown suede side panel, representing the bear, while the green midsole resembles the grass upon which the bear is standing.
The red outsole is for the red stripe at the bottom of the flag.
There you go a quick history lesson for a shoe that hasn’t even been released yet.
make sure you pick up your pair online over at Nike.
