Nike SB x Air Jordan 1 by Lance Mountain

Nike doesn’t hang around when it comes across a good idea already bringing out the second release of Nike SB x Air Jordan 1.

The canons (The Nike SB jordan 2) this time comes courtesy of veteran (and current Nike Sb rider) Lance Mountain.

Mountain’s contributions to pool and jump ramp shredding in the late 1980′s, and accidental introduction of Michael Jordan’s first professional model to the skateboarding fashion scene has pretty much set the path for a world of skaters and their love for the Jordan range.

As mentioned in the video below, around the time of Bones Brigade’s highly-influential In Search of Animal Chin video, Mountain filmed his footage in mismatched Air Jordan 1‘s, customized with paint markers and multi-coloured laces for durability and uniqueness – a style reiterated in the latest incarnation brought to us by the team at Nike.

The base shoe is the OG Air Jordan 1 which is done up with premium black leather uppers, detailed respectively with red and blue accents.

As you skate the outer layer is worn away and becomes and the shoe essentially becomes an individual statement revealing more of the original colorway that is hidden beneath.

A video below gives Mountain’s take on the shoe, which releases online and at select Nike SB retailers on June 7.
